I am the founder of Built for Life. My approach to human performance is rooted in a lifetime of movement—from my years as a collegiate athlete to nearly two decades of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist. Today, I have integrated that expertise into my specialized practice as a Movement Reprogramming Specialist.
While my professional background is clinical, my work at Built for Life focuses on helping people improve the way their body moves and functions so they can build strength, move efficiently, and continue doing the things they love for years to come.
I hold a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer—a combination that allows me to bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and peak functional longevity.
Why I Founded Built for Life
I created Built for Life because I saw a recurring gap in how we approach movement and functional longevity. Most people are either pushing through movement patterns that reinforce compensation, or avoiding movement altogether due to chronic tension, past injury, or fear of making things worse.
My passion for movement started long before my clinical career. Growing up in an active family, spending years on the soccer field, and competing as a springboard diver taught me early on how the body performs at its peak—and how it feels when it breaks down.
Living for years with an undiagnosed connective tissue disorder gave me a personal, firsthand understanding of joint instability and chronic compensation. As an adult, I had to teach myself how to reprogram my own movement to stay active and pain-free. Today, whether I’m running Vermont trails, riding my bike, or hiking with my family, I apply the same movement principles that I teach my clients.
True longevity isn’t just about “fitness”—it’s about how your body sustains itself over time.
Too many people are moving on top of compensations: subtle mechanical patterns the body adopts to survive rather than thrive.
I founded Built for Life to help others bridge the gap between efficient movement and long-term physical resilience.
What Makes Built for Life Different
I specialize in identifying the subtle movement breakdowns that conventional exercise programs often miss. By drawing from nearly two decades of clinical observation, I help clients uncover the compensation patterns that may be preventing their body from functioning efficiently.
Using a combination of stability reprogramming, mobility work, neuromuscular retraining, and individualized strength development, I help clients build more efficient and sustainable movement patterns.
My mission is simple: to help you move better, feel stronger, and live fully in a body that supports you for years to come.
